Wizard’s First Rule, the first novel by Terry Goodkind, was a phenomenon from the moment it was published by Tor Books inselling more thancopies in North America still sells more thancopies a year and has gone on to bestsellerdom in the United Kingdom and in more than twenty foreign translations as well as audiobook form/5(K).

Temple of the Winds picks up shortly where the last volume, Blood of the Fold, left off. A wizard named Marlin appears in Aydindril announcing his intent to kill Richard Rahl.

He is immediately captured and questioned by the Mother Confessor, Kahlan Amnell, and one of Richard's bodyguards, : Terry Goodkind. He is also shown to be a very competent wizard that could be trouble down the road. The main story revolves around dealing with a Plague that is onset from the Winds, to that extent a lot of the book revolves around healing and the promises of magic.

There are also mysteries of events happening in the city that Richard is attempting to solve. The plot to Wizard's First Rule is the most uninspired and predictable that I've ever seen. Everything in this book has been done before and better. The characters were stale and really one dimensional.

The romance was grating. The magic system is so vague that it's only purpose is to give the characters a "Get out of jail free" card. Temple Of The Winds Audiobook – The Sword of Truth Book 4. Temple of the Winds Audiobok picks up shortly where the last volume, Blood of the Fold Audiobook, left off.

Will be a good Reading copy. WIZARD OF FOUR WINDS: A SHAMAN'S STORY By Sharon - Hardcover. Wizard's First Rule was amazing, Stone of Tears was good, Blood of the Fold was boring. With Temple of the Winds, he got back on track.

WFR and TOW are my favorites from this I see all these reviews and people complaining about Richard and Kahlan's love, the sex, lack of plot, blah blah blah.5/5(5).
